What You'll do in this tour

Let’s start with this amazing day trip where you will be able to combine, food, history, wine, ocean and a little bit of exercise. Your day will start at 7:30am from the lobby of your hotel with the meeting of your driver guide and then a 60 minutes drive to Lucca.

Lucca is a small medieval town of 80,000 inhabitants and it’s a quite and desirable tourist destination. The “lucchesi” people are very proud of a couple of things about their city; #1 the city walls, #2 the fact that the famous italian composer Giacomo Puccini was from Lucca. Once you reach Lucca our driver guide will help you to get the bicycle and we suggest a nice ride through the city along the walls and visit a couple of the major sites of the city as the St.Michael’s Church, the Basilica of San Frediano and a stop a the famous Guinigi Tower, the old town is mostly pedestrian or restricted to residents only so very safe to navigate.  In the mean time, don’t forget to get a bite to eat and our driver guide will be more than happy to give you some suggestions.

After a quick bite, you’ll keep moving to Portofino that’s another 90 minutes drive. Portofino is a popular yachting destination, number #1 holiday destination for the rich and famous for more than 200 years, travel to the Italian Riviera – a slender region in Italy nestled between the Ligurian Sea and the Maritime Alps – for both its over-the-top glamour as well as its local, laid-back charm. What to see in Portofino? Everything! Truly, the most impressive thing about Portofino is the lifestyle, so running off and "seeing the sights" probably won't be your number one priority when you plan your day here. One of the best things you can do in Portofino is relax . Walk around the small city, hear the sea, take a rest at the end of the left Marconi quay. There is a small wine bar where you have an occasion to drink something seated less than one meter from the sea, don’t miss sampling the local cocktails, including a “Tintoretto,” made from pomegranate and spumante.

After a couple of great drinks and a nice afternoon in this charming town you will drive back to Florence, with some great ideas for your next trip to Italy!!
