What You'll do in this tour
Step back in time and walk the very streets your ancestors once called home. Designed specifically for members of the Italian diaspora returning to their homeland, this private heritage tour takes you on a deeply personal journey back to your roots, handling all logistics, translations, and local administration so you can focus entirely on connecting with your family’s legacy.
Your full-day experience begins at 08:00 AM with a private morning pickup, where your dedicated English-fluent driver and genealogy guide meet you directly at your accommodation in a spacious, comfortable Mercedes van. As you journey through the scenic countryside, you will review your family details and outline the plan for the day. By 10:30 AM, you arrive in your family's ancestral town, where your team accompanies you straight to local municipal offices (Comune) or historical parish churches to assist with translations and administrative procedures for requesting official birth (atto di nascita), marriage (atto di matrimonio), or baptism certificates (certificato di battesimo).
Following your administrative visit, at 12:00 PM you will embark on a town walk and roots discovery, exploring the historic streets, main piazza, and landmarks where your relatives once lived, worked, and gathered. At 01:30 PM, relax over a leisurely, authentic traditional Italian lunch at a handpicked local trattoria, savoring regional recipes and genuine wines unique to your family's specific province. Spend the afternoon at a relaxed pace starting around 03:30 PM for free exploration and local connections—whether visiting local cemeteries, strolling neighboring hillsides, or chatting with town locals who might share your family surname. The day concludes with a restful return transfer in your Mercedes van between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
