So you don't want to worrying about luggage, taxis or booking train tickets?  No problem. Instead of taking the train or even a non stop transfer transfer with a simple driver, consider taking advantage of our TRANSFER TO YOUR NEXT DESTINATION WITH DAY TRIP - “Door to Door” services!  This service is for those who wish to go from one city to another and prefer to explore the surrounding regions and turn their private transfer into an adventure! With our driver guides, all of whom speak excellent English available to you throughout the day, you will enjoy the panoramas throughout the countryside and about mid way through your travel you will stop in a destination and you can choose how you will spend your time with the assistance of the driver guide whom will give you general information about the area.  Options vary depending on your route but usually you can choose from simple free time for site seeing or shopping, taking a short local tours on some routes, and of course time enough for lunch where you prefer. Your driver guide will be happy to give you the best suggestions for lunch depending on your personal tastes and budget.   

This journey is arranged with about half of the time for travel and half for stopping. In case arriving without stops is more for you then be sure to look for our TRANSFERS DIRECT - NONSTOP and ONE-WAY for the fastest journey from one accommodation to another.  If you don`t see the cities you need to transfer between, just let us know and we can tailor a transfer that suites your needs.

Tour Description:

You will be picked up from your starting accommodation first thing in the morning in a comfortable late model Mercedes but will be happy to stop off for a cappuccino if you like along the way. Starting at this time will allow you to arrive in the Umbria region by about 11:30am and this will create the best flow of the day.

Orvieto  

If you choose Orvieto, you will have some time for shopping for products made from olive trees or for ceramics both of which are typical in this region. Sample some of their local eats and as you explore the town you will see plenty of unique local artisans.  On Thursdays there is also a farmer's market that brings a unique energy to the town.  If you are not much of a shopper then we suggest you use your free time to do the tour the underground caves of the city and learn about how they have been used by the Etruscan's throughout the centuries. Either way, you will want not want to miss a short visit to the duomo in the heart of this charming village.

Civita remains a testimonial to the challenges and the ingenuity of medieval life. Prepare to step back in time 1000 years as you cross the foot bridge over the ravine to this magical "Ghost Village" of Civita di Bagnoregio. Once you arrive to the top you will have the most breathtaking views of the region below. Rick Steve’s guide-book considers this village to be one of the most amazing places in the country and this tiny town is inhabited by about 50 locals.  There are several shops to browse through and an abundance of little winding paths and corners that lead to more vistas.  All of these are sure to create beautiful photography opportunities; a real photo lovers galore!  

Depending on your tastes and budget your driver guide is happy to arrange lunch in either location you have chosen.  We try to suggest local family run establishments such as enoteca's, small trattoria's or can even provide you a good suggestion for "panini" if that is more your style. You will have 3.5 hours in either Orvieto or Civita and following lunch we will start back out on the road again to arrive to your destination by about 4:30pm

We will need to know your traveling cell phone number, hotel address and phone number, as well as how many are in your party and if you will have excessive amounts of luggage.  This will help us accurately quote your service and send the correct size vehicle. 

*If you are binging more than one medium to large bag and one small carry on per person please notify us so that we can assess what size of vehicle we will need to send you and this may affect the pricing. 
 

Our driver will be waiting in your lobby with a sign that bears your name at the time that you scheduled.

• If you need to be picked up from an airport for your transfer please let us know as we will need to add an airport pickup to your service. We will ask that you provide us the airport name, your flight number and arrival time. 
• For an airport drop off at destination, please provide your airport of departure, your flight departure airline and number, departure time as well as the terminal number if you have it.
• If you need to be picked up from a train station for your transfer please let us know that as we will need to add a train station pickup to your service. We will ask that you provide us the station name, your train number and arrival time.
• For a train station drop off at destination, please provide your station and time of departure
• The price of this service may vary depending on the the size of your group and the amount of luggage space required.
• We can usually accommodate 6-7 passengers in one van comfortably.  Between some cities we may be able to accommodate 8 passengers with a bit more advance notice, but only if traveling with small amounts of luggage. 
• Tickets to the Underground in Orvieto, are not included in the cost of the day (approx. 5E for those over age 5). Our driver guide can help to arrange these for you if you choose to take the tour.
• If you want to see both Civita di Bagnoregio and Orvieto, 2 additional hours can be added at an hourly rate based on the size of your group. Inquire for more details.
• The option to do this transfer direct is also available. In that case we will need to arrange your service as a Transfer Direct - Nonstop, One Way, so be sure to inform us if you prefer this option.
