This tour is a perfect introduction to Barcelona. Visit the most important sites and attractions of the city in just 4 hours in a comfortable minivan, with a driver and a professional guide by your side.
We’ll pick you up at your cruise ship to drive through Barcelona making stops at all of the interesting sites, allowing time to review, discuss and take photos on foot. The guide will tell you a lot of interesting facts about Barcelona’s history, local culture and daily life. In just few hours you will explore all areas of the city from the historical center, founded by the Romans 2000 years ago, to the fantastic architectural works of genius Antoni Gaudi. Special attention will be given on this tour to the Sagrada Familia, the large Roman Catholic church in Barcelona. Sagrada Familia was designed by Catalan Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926). Construction of Sagrada Família commenced in 1882 by architect Francisco Paula de Villar and Gaudí became involved in 1883 after Francisco resigned as the head architect. Taking over the project, Gaudí transformed it with his architectural and engineering style, combining Gothic and curvilinear Art Nouveau forms. Gaudí devoted his last years to the project, and at the time of his death at age 73 in 1926, less than a quarter of the project was complete. Sagrada Familia is guided on the outside walking around the structure and then you will have time inside unguided for pictures as you prefer.
After the tour we will bring you back to your cruise ship. If you like, we can also leave you for a nice lunch in a centuries-old traditional restaurant. The best option to arrive back to your Cruise ship in this case is by taxi, the cost of which is not included in the cost of the tour. The port is too far to walk.
The price is for up to 6 passengers because the 7th passenger is the guide so we only have space for a total of 7 people per vehicle. If your group is over 6 passengers please email us.
Admission tickets to Sagrada Familia will be booked by our office and you will reimburse us for them on the day of your service. Tickets are still chargeable even if changes are made to your plans.
